Your business’ most powerful brand asset is you – your pictures, your stories and the lifestyle that surrounds you, so quality branding images are fundamental for your website, marketing and social media content. A strong media presence is essential in today’s world, but we know how hard it is to keep up with the need for fresh content, from daily socials, banner ads, product images, web content, media stories, blogs…
Let Lion & Cub help, with images that tell your story professionally, elegantly and with the cut-through that comes with owning your brand. More than a corporate headshot, personal branding imagery tells your story and allows potential clients to connect with you – and that is gold. Whether you are just starting out, an established business wanting to take it in a new direction, launching a new product or painfully aware you don’t have enough content for the daily insta update, we’ve got your back.
You don’t need to figure it all out on your own. I’ve created a guided, step-by-step process that takes away the guesswork — so your session feels straightforward, supported, and effortless from start to finish.
Before the shoot, we’ll make sure you feel prepared and confident. Starting with a simple questionnaire so I can get to know you, your brand, and the kind of clients you want to attract, a deep dive session then helps to map out your goals, locations, and looks — so nothing is left to chance.
You’ll also receive my prep guide (hello, wardrobe help!) plus ongoing support if questions pop up along the way. Think of this stage as us building the blueprint for your dream shoot.
This is where the magic happens.
We’ll shoot in our gorgeous Inner West studio space — all beautiful light, clean backdrops, and that elevated Lion & Cub look. Want more edge? Step straight out onto the streets of the Inner West for a little grit and attitude, or head to Sydney Park for fresh air, rolling greens, and movement-filled frames that feel alive.
You won’t be left guessing or posing stiffly. I’ll direct you in a way that feels natural and confident, so you’re not overthinking your hands, your smile, or whether you look ‘professional enough’. You’ll feel supported, comfortable and fully guided from start to finish.
We’ll create a mix of polished studio portraits, relaxed lifestyle images, and behind-the-scenes moments that show the real you at work. Need brand or product shots? Absolutely, bring along your brand colours or products.
Optional Hair + Makeup: If you’ve booked the top Personal Branding Package, (see below) you’ll start with professional hair + makeup for that extra boost (and a seriously polished finish). If not, I’ll still guide you on simple prep, so you feel camera-ready and confident.
Most clients walk in a little nervous… and walk out saying, “That was actually SO much fun.”

Scot Finnie — The Piano Man — is a world-renowned pianist performing at weddings and high-end corporate events. He needed fresh imagery to support a full website overhaul and to project an elite, internationally-ready brand.
His vision: a baby grand piano at Carriageworks Sydney, a sharp suit, and imagery that felt polished, high-end, and full of personality — the kind of first impression that attracts premium bookings.
We hired a space at Sydney’s Carriageworks, rolled in a baby grand, and let Scot do what he does best. With relaxed direction and a clean editorial approach, we captured a mix of hero portraits, performance shots, and candid moments in between.
A versatile gallery of images designed to work hard across Scot’s new website, online profiles, press features, and social media. His expertise is obvious — but it’s his joy, humour, and love of performing that makes the images sing.
The new website now showcases an original collection of photographs: Scot ‘tinkling the ivories’, laughing mid-moment, and owning the dramatic, industrial beauty of Carriageworks.
“Working with Nikki was amazing. I needed a website refresh and to project an elite image for my international gigs. Her talent, vision and professionalism were remarkable and the images speak for themselves.”
Healthy Habit Fitness is an inclusive outdoor training community offering everything from Bootcamp and Small Group PT to Mums & Bubs (with childcare), plus personal training and corporate sessions. (healthyhabit.com.au)
For the past seven years, Lion & Cub have created consistent, high-quality visuals — team photos, promotional content, and headshots — so their website and marketing always reflect the energy, professionalism, and community feel the company is known for.
Most recently, the brief expanded to include video for a website banner — something elevated, dynamic, and instantly welcoming the moment you land on the homepage.
Because Healthy Habit runs across multiple locations — including Sydney Park, Centennial Park, Mahoney Park (Marrickville) and Avoca Beach (healthyhabit.com.au) — we captured their brand where it lives: real sessions in motion, trainers leading with confidence, and the friendly, down-to-earth vibe that makes people feel safe to start.
Alongside action content, we created polished headshots and team images that feel approachable (not stiff) — perfect for profiles, ‘meet the team’ pages, and socials. For the banner video, we focused on movement and atmosphere: energetic, authentic, and human.
A deep, versatile content library that supports Healthy Habit across their website, social media, campaigns, and promotions — with fresh visuals that keep the brand consistent and easy to recognise. The banner video adds immediate impact and a premium feel, while the headshots and team content build trust fast.
“I’m terrible in front of the camera, but Nikki knew all the tricks and helped me relax — I got a brilliant headshot I now use for my profile picture.”
“Nikki photographed headshots for my website and the results were brilliant. I’m not confident in front of the camera, but she guided me so well and helped me relax. We captured a fantastic image that I now use as my profile picture. I highly recommend Lion & Cub Photography.”
Emily Simmons is a ceramicist who cares a lot about mugs — the kind you wrap your hands around on a grey day. Her work is rooted in nostalgia for her hometown in Nova Scotia and her identity as a windswept but unwavering maritimer. Think moody, storm-crushed seas with a quiet sense of coziness — pieces that feel like shelter from the elements.
When Emily launched her ceramics brand and website, she reached out to Lion & Cub for imagery that could hold that feeling — photographs that honoured both the craft and the maker behind it.
Emily’s shoot happened across two spaces. First, we photographed her inside her own ceramics studio — surrounded by tools, clay, and the real-life rhythm of making. Then we moved to my studio to capture her about me portrait and her incredibly beautiful, finished pieces in clean, beautiful light — elevated product imagery designed specifically for web.
The result was a balance of story and polish: hands at work, texture up close, and hero images that let the glaze, form, and mood speak for themselves.
A cohesive gallery built for Emily’s website launch and ongoing marketing — images that feel handcrafted, considered, and true to her world. As Emily said, the process was “extremely creative, collaborative, and joyful”… and the final photographs captured her vision “and then some.”

“The whole process was extremely creative, collaborative, and joyful — and the finished photos are more than what I’d hoped for.” — Emily Simmons
“I reached out to Nikki when I was launching a brand and website for my ceramics. It was a wonderful experience to work with her on this project. She really understood the vision and worked to the brief that my web designer provided. Nikki organised two sessions: one to photograph me at the studio where I make ceramics, and a second to photograph my finished pieces in a beautiful studio space. The whole process was extremely creative, collaborative, and joyful. And the finished photos are gorgeous – I couldn’t be happier with them. They really capture the vision that I had, and then some – they are more than what I’d hoped for. Nikki is such a great photographer to work with and I highly recommend her.”
Sally Cummins is the vibrant, beautifully put-together face behind Inner Style Queen — a self-confessed colour fanatic on a mission to help busy, working women feel more confident in what they wear.
As she rolled out a new website and refreshed her Instagram presence, Sally needed a swag of joyful, on-brand imagery that felt like her: warm, approachable, and full of colour — the kind of photos that instantly connect with the women she supports.
We planned a shoot that celebrated Sally’s personality and her love of colour, while keeping everything relaxed and genuinely fun. With gentle direction and plenty of variety, we captured a mix of polished portraits, friendly lifestyle images, and playful moments that feel real — because confidence looks best when it’s not forced.
We also built in content with purpose: multiple outfits, expressions, and framing styles so Sally walked away with images for website banners, Insta posts, reels covers, stories, and promotions.
A versatile, uplifting gallery designed to work across Sally’s website and socials — bright, confident, and unmistakably Inner Style Queen. And in Sally’s words, “there were too many great shots to choose from” — exactly the kind of problem we love.
“Nikki is a dynamic and professional photographer who knows how to direct a shoot and make it fun! … We had the best day and I was delighted when there were too many great shots to choose from! I would absolutely recommend Nikki to anyone wanting some amazing photos for business or pleasure.”
